दिल्ली के उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया ने कोरोना महामारी के दौरान अपनी जान गंवा वाली वरिष्ठ चिकित्सा अधिकारी डॉ. आभा भंडारी के परिजनों को एक करोड़ रुपये की सम्मान राशि का चेक सौंपा। डिप्टी सीएम सिसोदिया ने यहां के प्रताप बाग स्थित दिवंगत के घर जाकर उनके परिवार को एक करोड़ रुपए का चेक सौंपा। उन्होंने कहा, देश इन वीर कोरोना योद्धाओं के बलिदान को सलाम करता है। कोरोना योद्धाओं के बहादुरी और त्याग के मिसाल को हम कभी नहीं भूल पाएंगे। दिल्ली सरकार उनके परिवार के हर दुख और संकट में सदैव उनके साथ खड़ी रहेगी, यह हमारा वादा है।
उपमुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कोरोना महामारी पूरी मानवता के लिए एक भयानक संकट थी। इस संकट ने सभी के मन में डर भय पैदा कर दिया था लेकिन हमारे कोरोना योद्धाओं ने अपनी जान को जोखिम में डालते हुए दिल्ली को इस संकट से उबारने का काम किया। डॉक्टर, मेडिकल स्टाफ, सहायक स्टाफ, सफाई-कर्मचारियों सहित हजारों कोरोना योद्धाओं ने दिन-रात काम करते हुए इस महामारी से लड़ने का काम किया और कई कोरोना योद्धा लोगों की सेवा करते हुए शहीद हो गए। उन्होंने कहा कि अरविंद केजरीवाल की सरकार हमेशा कोरोना योद्धाओं के परिवारों के साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर खड़ी है।
दिल्ली सरकार की ये योजना कोरोना योद्धाओं के परिवार को ये आत्मविश्वास देती है कि सरकार और समाज हमेशा उनके साथ है। उन्होंने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार कोरोना योद्धाओं के जज़्बे को सलाम करती है। बेशक इस राशि से दिवंगत कोरोना योद्धा के परिवार के नुकसान की पूर्ति तो नहीं की जा सकती लेकिन उनके परिवार को एक सम्मानजनक जीवन जीने का जरिया ज़रूर मिलेगा। कोरोना महामारी के दौरान अपनी जान की परवाह किए बिना ड्यूटी पर मुस्तैद दिल्ली गवर्नमेंट डिस्पेंसरी, चमेलियन रोड में पदस्थ डॉ. भंडारी मरीजों की जान बचाते हुए स्वयं संक्रमित हो गई और अपनी जान गंवा दी थी। उल्लेखनीय है कि केजरीवाल सरकार कोरोना के दौरान लोगों की सेवा करते हुए संक्रमित होकर जान गंवाने वाले 31 कोरोना योद्धाओं के परिवार को एक-एक करोड़ रुपये की सम्मान राशि सौंप चुकी है।
