दिल्ली में मुठभेड़ के बाद एटीएम लूटने वाले गिरोह के दो सदस्य गिरफ्तार

मेवात स्थित एटीएम लूटने वाले एक अंतरराज्यीय गिरोह के दो सदस्यों को, दक्षिणी दिल्ली के छतरपुर इलाके में भाटी माइंस वन्यजीव अभयारण्य के पास, एक मुठभेड़ के बाद गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। पुलिस ने रविवार को यह जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कहा कि वकील उर्फ शकील (35) और आबिद हुसैन (34), दिल्ली-राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र और पांच अन्य राज्यों में एटीएम लूटने के दर्जनभर मामलों में वांछित हैं। दिल्ली पुलिस ने कहा कि मुठभेड़ में वकील के दाहिने पैर में गोली लगी। उन्होंने बताया कि एटीएम लूटने के एक मामले में वांछित घायल आरोपी पर मध्य प्रदेश पुलिस ने पुरस्कार की घोषणा कर रखी है। पुलिस के अनुसार दोनों आरोपी एटीएम लूटने की साजिश रच रहे थे और उन्होंने दक्षिणी दिल्ली में कुछ एटीएम की पहचान भी की थी।

पुलिस ने बताया कि वकील एटीएम तोड़ने और नकदी की ट्रे निकालने में उस्ताद है। पुलिस उपायुक्त (विशेष प्रकोष्ठ) जसमीत सिंह ने कहा कि दोनों आरोपियों को छतरपुर के भाटी माइंस की ओर वन्यजीव अभयारण्य के पास से शनिवार शाम को गिरफ्तार किया गया। उन्होंने कहा, “पुलिस ने दोनों को घेर लिया था लेकिन आरोपियों ने पिस्तौल निकालकर गोली चलाने की धमकी दी। वकील ने अचानक से दो गोलियां चलाईं। आबिद हुसैन पिस्तौल में तकनीकी खामी के कारण गोली नहीं चला पाया। पुलिस ने आत्मरक्षा में दो गोलियां चलाईं जिसके बाद वकील के दाहिने पैर में गोली लगी। पुलिस ने कहा कि पूछताछ में दोनों आरोपियों ने लूटपाट के अपने तरीके का खुलासा किया।
