दिल्ली(delhi) की एक अदालत ने दंगों की आरोपी इशरत जहां(ishrat jahan) को जमानत दे दी है। कांग्रेस(congress) की पूर्व पार्षद(former councilor) इशरत जहां नॉर्थ-ईस्ट दिल्ली हिंसा मामले में आरोपी हैं। उन्हें दिल्ली पुलिस(delhi police) की स्पेशल सेल(special cell) ने गैरकानूनी गतिविधि रोकथाम अधिनियम के तहत गिरफ्तार किया था।
उत्तर पूर्वी दिल्ली में सांप्रदायिक हिंसा के दौरान शाहदरा के जगतपुरी इलाके में दंगा(jagatpuri riots) हुआ था। इस दंगे के आरोप में कांग्रेस नेता और पूर्व पार्षद इशरत जहां को फरवरी 2020 में गिरफ्तार किया गया था।
पुलिस के मुताबिक इशरत जहां ने भीड़ को उकसाते हुए कहा था कि हम चाहें मर जाएं, लेकिन हम यहां से नहीं हटेंगे, चाहे पुलिस कुछ भी कर ले हम आजादी लेकर रहेंगे। वहीं दंगा मामले के आरोपी खालिद ने भीड़ से कहा कि पुलिस पर पथराव करो भीड़ भाग जाएगी। ये बात सुनते ही साबू अंसारी और अन्य ने पुलिस पर पथराव शुरू कर दिया था।
