दिल्ली प्रदेश भाजपा महामंत्री कुलजीत सिंह चहल एवं प्रदेश मीडिया प्रमुख नवीन कुमार जिंदल ने गुरुवार को एक संयुक्त बयान में कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार की नई आबकारी नीति के खिलाफ जनमत संग्रह के लिए भाजपा की तैयारियां पूरी हो चुकी है। प्रत्येक वार्ड के चार स्थानों पर शराब नीति के विरोध में जनमत पत्रक वितरण कर लोगों की राय ली जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश भाजपा अध्यक्ष आदेश गुप्ता के नेतृत्व में कल प्रदेश के 1120 विभिन्न स्थानों पर होने वाले जनमत में मुख्य रुप से पार्टी के सांसद, विधायक, प्रदेश के पदाधिकारी एवं मोर्चा एवं जिलों के अध्यक्षों-उपाध्यक्षों के नेतृत्व में लगभग 10 लाख से अधिक लोगों की राय ली जाएगी।
कुलजीत सिंह चहल ने कहा कि जिस तरह से दिल्ली सरकार की आबकारी नीति के खिलाफ भाजपा के 50000 से अधिक कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ व्यापारियों के संगठन एवं आरडब्ल्यूए के लोग दिल्ली के विभिन्न स्थानों पर महिला, युवाओं एवं गणमान्य के बीच जाएंगे। सभी कार्यकर्ता धार्मिक स्थलों, विद्यालयों के पास एवं मुख्य बाज़ारों में इकट्ठा होकर एक पत्रक जनता के बीच वितरित करेंगे और लोगों का इस नीति पर मत लेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले कुछ दिनों से एक पर एक मुफ्त शराब बांटकर उन्होंने पूरी दिल्ली को शराब पिलाने में लगा दिया। दिहाड़ी मजदूर भी काम करने की जगह शराब के ठेकों पर लंबी पंक्तियों में खड़े होकर शराब की बोतले खरीद घर में पीकर पड़े हुए थे जिससे उनके घर की रोजी-रोटी भी चलना मुश्किल हो गया है।
