कांग्रेस ने रविवार को कहा कि वह सरकार की जन विरोधी नीतियों का पुरजोर तरीके से विरोध करती है और किसानों की उपज के वास्ते न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य सुनिश्चित कराने के लिए सड़क से संसद तक लड़ाई लड़ेगी। पार्टी ने अखिल भारतीय किसान कांग्रेस के पदाधिकारियों की दो दिवसीय बैठक के बाद यह बात कही। इसके नवनियुक्त प्रमुख सुखपाल सिंह खैरा ने कहा कि वह किसानों और मजदूरों की समस्याओं को जानने के लिए देश भर में दौरा करेंगे और उन्हें समर्थन देंगे। खैरा ने कहा कि वह सड़क से संसद तक किसानों और मजदूरों की लड़ाई लड़ेंगे।
उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) और केंद्रीय अन्वेषण ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) जैसी संस्थाओं का जितना चाहे ”दुरुपयोग” करे, लेकिन पार्टी डटी रहेगी और केंद्र की ”जनविरोधी” नीतियों का पुरजोर विरोध करेगी। खैरा ने किसान कांग्रेस के निवर्तमान अध्यक्ष नाना पटोले और उनकी टीम के काम की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि जिसने भी पिछले चार वर्षों में लगन से काम किया है, उसे निश्चित रूप से पदोन्नत किया जाएगा। साथ ही खैरा ने कहा कि किसान कांग्रेस जल्द ही एक बड़ा कार्यक्रम आयोजित करेगी, जिसमें पार्टी के शीर्ष नेता भी शामिल होंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार ने तीन नए कृषि कानूनों के जरिए देश के किसानों और मजदूरों के साथ ”धोखा” किया था।
