अतिरिक्त सत्र न्यायाधीश अमिताभ रावत ने आदेश की एक प्रति पुलिस आयुक्त को भेजने का निर्देश दिया है। पुलिस आयुक्त को एक जिम्मेदार वरिष्ठ अधिकारी द्वारा इस बात की जांच कराकर रिपोर्ट देनी होगी कि खालिद को गुरुवार को हथकड़ी लगाकर लाया गया था या नहीं। यदि, हां तो किस आदेश पर। अदालत ने खालिद के वकील द्वारा दायर एक अर्जी पर यह आदेश पारित किया।
