दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट दिल्ली वक्फ बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष अमानतुल्ला खान की याचिका पर उपराज्यपाल और दिल्ली सरकार को नोटिस जारी कर जवाब मांगा है। खान ने याचिका में उपराज्यपाल और सरकार को वक्फ बोर्ड के तीन सदस्यों को हटाने की मांग को लेकर दाखिल प्रतिवेदन पर फैसला करने का आदेश देने की मांग की है। जस्टिस मनोज कुमार ओहरी ने मामले में उपराज्यपाल और दिल्ली सरकार को मामले की अगली सुनवाई 5 अप्रैल को जवाब दाखिल करने का निर्देश दिया है। याचिकाकर्ता खान, जिनके खिलाफ वक्फ बोर्ड के चार सदस्यों ने उपराज्यपाल कार्यालय को अविश्वास प्रस्ताव का नोटिस भेजा है।
खान ने याचिका में कहा है कि बोर्ड ने 27 दिसंबर, 2021 और 7 मार्च, 2022 को तीन सदस्यों को हटाने के लिए दो प्रतिवेदन भेजे हैं, लेकिन सरकार द्वारा अभी तक उस पर कोई कार्रवाई नहीं की गई है। याचिका में खान ने कहा है कि दिल्ली वक्फ बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष के रूप में उनके खिलाफ दिए गए 3 मार्च, 2022 के अविश्वास प्रस्ताव के नोटिस पर कार्रवाई करने से पहले उपराज्यपाल व सरकार को उनके प्रतिवेदन पर तत्काल निर्णय लिया जाए।
दिल्ली वक्फ बोर्ड के सात सदस्यों में से चार सदस्यों ने 4 मार्च को खान पर मनामानी, भ्रष्टाचार सहित कई आरोप लगाते हुए उनके खिलाफ अविश्वास प्रस्ताव का नोटिस उपराज्यपाल के सौंपा। सदस्यों ने उपराज्यपाल से अविश्वास प्रस्ताव पर फैसला करने के लिए 18 दिनों के भीतर बोर्ड की बैठक बुलाने का आग्रह किया। ओखला आप विधायक खान ने अपने उपर लगाए गए आरोपों को झूठा बताया।
