क्षेत्रीय परिषदें केंद्र और राज्यों के बीच संवाद के लिए उच्च स्तरीय सलाहकार मंच हैं। अन्य क्षेत्रीय परिषदों में केंद्रीय क्षेत्रीय परिषद (छत्तीसगढ़, उत्तराखंड, उत्तर प्रदेश और मध्य प्रदेश), पूर्व क्षेत्रीय परिषद (बिहार, झारखंड, उड़ीसा, सक्किमि और पश्चिम बंगाल), पश्चिम क्षेत्रीय परिषद (गोवा, गुजरात, महाराष्ट्र, दमन एवं दीव और दादरा- नगर हवेली) तथा दक्षिण क्षेत्रीय परिषद (आंध्र प्रदेश, कर्नाटक, केरल, तमिलनाडु और पुडुचेरी) शामिल हैं। केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री इनमें से प्रत्येक परिषद के अध्यक्ष हैं।
