प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने रविवार को कहा कि चोरी करके ले जाई गई 200 से अधिक बहुमूल्य प्रतिमाओं और धरोहरों को पिछले सात सालों में विभिन्न देशों से वापस लाया गया है और यह सफलता भारत के प्रति बदल रहे वैश्विक नजरिए का एक उदाहरण है। आकाशवाणी के अपने मासिक रेडियो कार्यक्रम ”मन की बात” की ताजा कड़ी में प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि देश की जब कोई बहुमूल्य धरोहर वापस मिलती है तो स्वाभाविक है कि एक हिन्दुस्तानी के नाते सभी को संतोष मिलना बहुत स्वाभाविक है।
उन्होंने कहा कि हजारों वर्षों के देश के इतिहास में एक-से-बढ़कर एक मूर्तियां हमेशा बनती रहीं और हर मूर्ति के इतिहास में तत्कालीन समय का प्रभाव भी नजर आता है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह धरोहर भारत की मूर्तिकला का नायाब उदाहरण तो हैं ही, भारतीयों की आस्था से भी जुड़ी थीं। उन्होंने कहा, लेकिन, अतीत में बहुत सारी मूर्तियां चोरी होकर भारत से बाहर जाती रहीं।
कभी इस देश में, तो कभी उस देश में ये मूर्तियां बेचीं जाती रहीं और उनके लिए वो तो सिर्फ कलाकृति थी। न उनको उसके इतिहास से लेना देना था, न श्रद्धा से लेना देना था। उन्होंने कहा, साल 2013 तक करीब-करीब 13 प्रतिमाएं भारत आयी थीं लेकिन पिछले सात सालों में 200 से ज्यादा बहुमूल्य प्रतिमाओं को, भारत, सफलता के साथ वापस ला चुका है। उन्होंने कहा कि तमिलनाडु के वेल्लूर से चोरी हुई 600 से 700 साल पुरानी भगवान आंजनेय्यर की मूर्ति इसी महीने ऑस्ट्रेलिया से प्राप्त हुई है। इसी प्रकार बिहार के गया के एक मंदिर से चोरी हुई अवलोकितेश्वर पद्मपाणि की हजार साल से भी ज्यादा पुरानी मूर्ति इटली से लाई गई है।
प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा, ”इन मूर्तियों को वापस लाना, भारत मां के प्रति हमारा दायित्व है। इन मूर्तियों में भारत की आत्मा का, आस्था का अंश है और इनका एक सांस्कृतिक-ऐतिहासिक महत्व भी है। इस दायित्व को समझते हुए भारत ने अपने प्रयास बढ़ाए। इसके कारण चोरी करने की प्रवृति वालों में एक भय भी पैदा हुआ है। उन्होंने कहा कि जिन देशों में ये मूर्तियां चोरी करके ले जाई गईं थीं, अब उन्हें भी लगने लगा कि भारत के साथ रिश्तों में सॉफ्ट पावर का जो कूटनीतिक चैनल होता है, उसमें इसका भी बहुत बड़ा महत्व हो सकता है।
मोदी ने कहा कि अमेरिका, ब्रिटेन, हॉलैंड, फ्रांस, कनाडा, जर्मनी, सिंगापुर, ऐसे कितने ही देशों ने भारत की इस भावना को समझा है और मूर्तियां वापस लाने में हमारी मदद की है। उन्होंने कहा, अभी आपने कुछ दिन पहले देखा होगा, काशी से चोरी हुई मां अन्नपूर्णा देवी की प्रतिमा भी वापस लाई गई थी। यह भारत के प्रति बदल रहे वैश्विक नजरिये का ही उदाहरण है।
