राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में सोमवार सुबह गर्म रहने के साथ ही न्यूनतम तापमान सामान्य से चार डिग्री अधिक 31.6 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया। मौसम विज्ञान विभाग ने आसमान में बादल छाए रहने और दिन में बाद में हल्की बारिश या बूंदा बांदी होने का पूर्वानुमान जताया है, जिससे लोगों को चिलचिलाती धूप से कुछ राहत मिल सकती है। अधिकतम तापमान 43 डिग्री सेल्सियस रह सकता है। सुबह हवा में आर्द्रता का स्तर 42 प्रतिशत था। भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (आईएमडी) ने सोमवार को दिल्ली के कुछ हिस्सों में लू चलने की चेतावनी देते हुए, ‘येलो अलर्ट’ जारी किया है।
आईएमडी मौसम की चेतावनियों के लिए चार रंग के अलर्ट जारी करता है। ‘ग्रीन अलर्ट’ (कोई कार्रवाई की आवश्यकता नहीं), ‘येलो अलर्ट’ (स्थिति पर नजर रखें), ‘ऑरेंज अलर्ट’ (स्थिति से निपटने के लिए तैयार रहें) और ‘रेड अलर्ट’ (स्थिति से निपटने लिए कदम उठाएं)। मौसम विशेषज्ञों ने मजबूत पश्चिमी विक्षोभ की कमी और लगातार गर्म तथा शुष्क पश्चिमी हवाओं को मौजूदा गर्मी के लिए जिम्मेदार ठहराया है। उन्होंने कहा कि 15-16 जून तक भीषण गर्मी से राहत मिलने की संभावना है।
