दिल्ली के गोकुलपुरी इलाके में झुग्गियों में भीषण आग लगने से हुई सात लोगों की मौत पर मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने गहरा शोक व्यक्त किया है। घटना की जानकारी मिलने पर मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल खुद मौके पर पहुंचे और शोकाकुल परिवारों से मिलकर उनको सांत्वना दी। अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि आपका बेटा, आपका भाई आपके साथ है। दिल्ली सरकार आगजनी से पीड़ित हर परिवार को आर्थिक मदद देगी। हम आपके नुकसान की भरपाई तो नहीं कर सकते, लेकिन सरकार की तरफ से जिन बड़े लोगों की जान गई है, उनके परिवार को 10-10 लाख और जिन बच्चों की जान गई है, उनके परिवार को 5-5 लाख रुपए की आर्थिक मदद दी जाएगी। साथ ही, जिन लोगों की झुग्गियां जली हैं, उन्हें 25-25 हजार रुपए दिए जाएंगे।
मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने गोकुलपुरी में आगजनी से पीड़ित परिवारों से मुलाकात के दौरान कहा कि सुबह जब सोकर उठा और टीवी पर देखा कि यहां पर रात को आग लग गई थी। आग लगने की वजह से यहां कई झुग्गियां जल गई हैं और सात लोगों की मौत भी हो गई है। इन सभी पीड़ित परिवारों के प्रति मेरी गहरी संवेदना है। मुझे बहुत दुख है कि आगजनी में इतने लोगों की झुग्गियां जल गई। खासकर एक गरीब आदमी बड़ी मुश्किल से अपनी झुग्गी बनाता है। अगर उनके घर में किसी की मौत हो जाए तो यह बहुत दुख की बात है।
मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल दोपहर करीब दो बजे गोकुलपुरी में आगजनी से पीड़ित परिवारों से मिलने पहुंचे। इस दौरान दिल्ली सरकार के आला अधिकारी भी उनके साथ थे। घटना स्थल पर मुख्यमंत्री के पहुंचने की जानकारी मिलने पर बड़ी तादात में आसपास के लोग भी वहां पहुंच गए। भारी संख्या में आसपास के लोगों के पहुंचने और भीड़ बढ़ने पर मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल अपनी कार की छत पर चढ़ गए, ताकि सभी लोगों से रूबरू होकर उन्हें संबोधित कर सकें। उन्होंने लोगों से कहा कि इस दुख की घड़ी में वह उनके साथ हैं।
