कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने घरेलू एलपीजी सिलेंडर के दाम में वृद्धि को लेकर रविवार को सरकार पर हमला तेज करते हुए कहा कि केवल उन्हीं की पार्टी गरीबों और मध्यम वर्गीय परिवारों की भलाई के लिए काम करती है। गौरतलब है कि शनिवार को रसोई गैस के दाम प्रति सिलेंडर 50 रुपये तक बढ़ गए, जो बीते छह हफ्तों से अधिक समय में कीमतों में दूसरी वृद्धि है।

राहुल ने एक ट्वीट में घरेलू सिलेंडर के दामों की तुलना की। उन्होंने बताया कि 2014 में कांग्रेस नीत सरकार में एलपीजी सिलेंडर की कीमत 827 रुपये की सब्सिडी के साथ 410 रुपये थी, जबकि 2022 में भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के नेतृत्व वाली सरकार के तहत इसकी कीमत 999 रुपये से अधिक है और ‘सब्सिडी’ भी ‘शून्य’ है।
कांग्रेस के पूर्व अध्यक्ष ने कहा, तब के दो सिलेंडर की कीमत के बराबर आज एक सिलेंडर की कीमत है। केवल कांग्रेस गरीब और मध्यम वर्गीय भारतीय परिवारों की भलाई के लिए काम करती है। यह हमारी आर्थिक नीति का मूल है। शनिवार को सिलेंडर की कीमतों में वृद्धि के बाद राहुल ने कहा था कि करोड़ों भारतीय परिवार ‘अत्यधिक महंगाई’, बेरोजगारी और ‘खराब शासन’ के खिलाफ मुश्किल जंग लड़ रहे हैं।
